Ludhiana,18 November (Daljeet Vicky) To express honour and gratitude to the grandparents for their huge contribution to their families and the society, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sec-39, Urban Estate, Ludhiana celebrated Grandparents' Day with great exuberance in its own premises on 16th November, 2023. The school was well decked with balloons and ribbons everywhere bragging its celebrative look.

The Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Amal Varghese Thakadipurath, Director of Sacred Heart Convent Sr. Sec. School, Rattanheri, Khanna and the grandparents of Kindergarten children were accorded a warm welcome by the school management and the cabinet of teachers. The oldest couple was offered a robe of honour by the school Principal Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria, Primary In-charge Rev. Sr. Kripa Jose and Kindergarten In-charge Rev. Sr. Sharon Maria. The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp

ceremony followed by a galaxy of cultural items, a few of them

were- Welcome Dance, Retro Dance, Dada ji ki chhari,, a One

Act Play, Speeches, a Dance performance of Grandparents and

Bhangra. One energetic couple danced to the melodious tunes

which mesmerized all the spectators. The resplendent visages

of the grandparents were the clear indication that they had great

time with their grandchildren on this special day dedicated to

them with immense honour and love. When one randomly

selected pair started singing a song, it made the moment the

most capturing one.

The Cake cutting ceremony and sumptuous refreshment to all with fun-filled games presented a view of joyful moments at the peak. Gratitude was offered to the chief guest and the grandparents for making the celebration a great success and an everlasting memory.
