Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann admitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital, infection diagnosed.

Payal Mohindra (Director)

Ludhiana : Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Apollo Hospital last night after complaining of a stomach ache. He was later diagnosed with an infection. His condition deteriorated at night, according to the reports.

Nevertheless, his health improved the following day, and he called for a meeting with the AGTF chief and DGP Punjab at 12;30 pm today to take stock of yesterday’s encounter in Amritsar. The two suspected shooters, Jagroop Rupa and Manpreet Manu, involved in the murder of slain Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala were shot dead after a deadly 4-hour encounter with the Punjab police.

However, the news of Mann being admitted to a private hospital in Delhi didn’t go down well with the critics. CM Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was questioned for his tall claims about improving Delhi’s health care sector, while his minister opted for a five-star private hospital.

An old video of Kejriwal circulated in which he claimed that people don’t go to Apollo or Max hospitals when they fall sick but prefer ‘Sarkari’ hospitals in Delhi. Moreover, finger-pointing started as to why CM Punjab did not get treatment in any government hospital in Punjab.
