WITTY WHITMAN' English Clubof Sacred Heart Convent School Hosts Inspiring TED Talks for Classes XI & XII

Ludhiana,19 September (Daljeet Vicky) In a bid to cultivate the art of public speaking and foster intellectual curiosity among the senior students, the English Club organized a captivating TED Talks event exclusively tailored for Classes XI & XII students. This initiative not only showcased the depth of talent within the student body but also encouraged them to explore and share their ideas on diverse subjects.


The TED Talks event was designed as a platform for Classes XI & XII students to present their thoughts, experiences, and innovative ideas in the format of TED-style talks. It aimed to empower young minds to communicate effectively and articulate their viewpoints on a range of topics.


The event featured a series of talks, each delivered by a student speaker. These talks covered a wide array of subjects, from science and technology to literature, environment, and social issues. Each speaker had undergone rigorous preparation and guidance from the English Club mentors.


The chosen topics were not only relevant but also thought- provoking. They included "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Future Employment," "Exploring the Power of Renewable Energy," "Overcoming Challenges in Pursuit of Dreams," and "Rediscovering Classic Literature in the Digital Age," among others.


The audience consisted of fellow Classes XI & XII students, teachers, and invited guests. After each talk, there was an engaging Q&A session, allowing the audience to interact with the speakers, seek clarifications, and engage in thoughtful discussions.


The event underscored the multifaceted talents of the students and it not only celebrated their eloquence but also their ability to critically analyze complex subjects and present their findings in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.


The TED Talks event aimed to instill a love for lifelong learning and public speaking among students. It emphasized that effective communication and the ability to share one's ideas are skills that transcend the classroom and are valuable in all aspects of life.


The English Club's efforts were lauded by the Principal. ,teachers and students alike. They applauded the dedication and hard work of the young speakers and the mentors who guided them.
