Sacred Heart Convent School,conducts a ‘Road Awareness Session’

ludhiana,5 February(Daljeet Singh Vicky) : To apprise the students of safe commuting and rules of the road, on 5th of February, a ‘Road Safety Awareness Session’ was conducted for the classes IX and XI in the school Auditorium during which PPS, ACP, (Traffic-1), Charanjiv Lamba, , Inspector, Narinder Singh, Avtar Singh ASI, Traffic Police Ludhiana along with the key note speakers Jasbir Singh, Head Constable and Manmeet Singh, Traffic Expert sensitized the students about the importance of Traffic rules. They presented factual data on road accidents through their speeches and by displaying Power Point presentation.

The students were informed about the safety factors which could prevent accidents. Emphasizing the significance of awareness of traffic rules, they informed the students that Road safety is a slogan in India and we need to make it a way of life. Life after an accident is never the same, only those who lose the bread earner can comprehend the gravity of accidents.

The attendees were shown different video clips demonstrating the hazardous incidents of accidents happened in India due to the responsible factors such as Exceeding lawful speed, intake of alcohol, rash driving and poor knowledge of traffic signs and rules. Students took the pledge that they will follow the rules and spread awareness among their peers.The Session remained successful and the students recognized the importance of traffic rules as they provide protection and safety on road.
