Ludhiana : On the 18th of March, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sec-39, Urban Estate, Ludhiana, organized the Vidyarambham Ceremony, an inaugural function for the tiny tots of Grade Nursery to welcome them to the school and for the Orientation of their parents.Rev. Fr. George Edayal, Director, Sacred Heart Convent School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana graced the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest. He was received in the well-decorated newly built Hall with a hearty welcome by the school management and student’s Council.

The lamp-lighting ceremony was followed by a prayer to the Almighty. Intercessory prayers for the well-being of all were read. A variety of offerings were made by the young children, under the care of their teachers, including books, notebooks, saplings, lighted candles, school bags, and a school building that symbolized the various forms of knowledge.

During the Orientation, Rev. Fr. George said that in the initial days of school, both the parents and the children may feel overwhelmed by the number of tasks they have to complete and the expectations they have to meet. However, with patience and understanding, they soon find that they get used to the school environment and can manage it with less stress.

The tiny tots and their parents were entertained by the variety of cultural programmes- Bhangra and Dance presented by the students of Kindergarten Wing. The history and the achievements of the school was presented through power point presentation, after which the little kids were led to the world of letters by writing the first letter in a tray of rice grains in the name of God. The ceremony brought great smiles and shine in the eyes of the parents and the children.
The chief guest and the invited parents were extended a vote of thanks. The Ceremony came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem.
