GLOBAL AMBASSADOR OF UK’s CANCER INSTITUTE DELIVERS A TALK AT PAU

LUDHIANA, JANUARY 20,2023: The Global Ambassador of UK’s Cancer Care Institute, Dr Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal visited Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) to create awareness among the youths about this dreadful disease. Spreading the message of United Nations Organization, he cautioned the youngsters against cancer and impressed upon them to stick to natural diet. Unhealthy food choices and wrong eating habits are the major factors responsible for the spread of this disease, he warned, while calling for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and inculcating healthy food habits.


The chief guest Mr Gurpreet Singh Toor, an eminent Punjabi writer and former IPS, underlined the need for adopting simple lifestyle as well as simple food to keep the diseases at bay.


Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, urged the students to avoid junk food/fast food and restrict themselves to traditional recipes to stay healthy. Dr Jaswinder Kaur Brar, Coordinator, Cultural Activities, while welcoming the dignitaries and the participants, said that the talk would go a long way in making youths aware of cancer disease. Present on the occasion were Dr Rupinder Kaur Toor, Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dr Satvir Singh, Supervisor, Cultural Activities and Ms Kanwaljit Kaur.
