GGI NCC cadets were felicitated for participating in the Republic Day Parade
Ludhiana, 16 Feb : Three NCC cadets of Gulzar Group of Institutes were felicitated for their services and for participating in the Republic Day Parade were honored by the 19th Punjab NCC Battalion during a program held at Gulzar Group. The names of these cadets are Senior under Officer Aditya Tiwari, Senior Under Officer Maya Bidlan and Under Officer Roshan Gupta. Along with this, 19 Punjab NCC Battalion Commanding Officer Colonel Praveen Dhiman, Administrative Officer Colonel KS Kodal, SM Jasveer Singh, JC Baljit Singh, Harjit Singh and Mandeep Singh were also honored for their services.
It is worth mentioning that 148 cadets are selected from across the country for the Independence Day and Republic Day parades in New Delhi and only fifty cadets are selected for the Prime Minister's Rally. While every year around eight lakh NCC cadets work hard for this initiative.
The commanding officer of the battalion, Colonel Praveen Dhiman, while congratulating the cadets for this achievement, said that these three cadets, were selected after five months of hard work in these campuses on Republic Day, which started from the first month of September this year.
On this occasion, Executive Director of Gulzar Group Gurkirat Singh thanked the entire team of the 19th Punjab NCC Battalion and said that it is a matter of pride for them that the cadets of GGI are not only giving excellent results under their supervision but also serving the country as officers in the army. A cake cutting ceremony was also organized on this occasion.
