Ludhiana,16 March (Daljeet Singh Vicky) : Sacred Heart Convent School inaugurated the academic session 2024-25 on the 14th of March 2024 with a special Prayer Service, organized in the Main Hall . The venue was beautifully decked following the welcome theme.
Under the kind guidance and benign presence of the school Director Rev. Fr. Thomas Poochalil and the school Principal Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria, Rev. Sr. Kripa and Rev. Sr. Sharon, the Ceremony commenced with the lighting of a lamp and Invocation to the Almighty followed by Intercessory Prayers for the whole school.

Students from junior and senior classes, under the instructions of their class teachers, offered lighted candles, books, plants, flowers, uniforms, sports materials etc. symbolizing the submission of all school activities to the Almighty God to seek His blessings.
The school teachers enlightened the students by reading holy verses on the relevance of education from Sacred Scriptures of all religions. The religious aura aroused by the school choir was precisely felt by all the attendees.

The meritorious students were presented with certificates of appreciation as a reward for their exemplary hard work. While addressing the students the school Director Rev. Fr. Thomas congratulated the students for their remarkable performance and wished them to have a good and bright new academic session 2024-25.

The school Principal Rev. Sr. Crispin Maria announced the theme of the academic year 2024-25:“ Intelligence plus character- that is the goal of true education.” Therefore, “Excel in Intelligence and be esteemed in Character.”Motivating all the students, she added that when the students are committed to intellectual pursuit and integrity of character, they will not only excel academically but also grow into responsible, empathetic and compassionate individuals. The ceremony was given a ceremonial close by presenting a lighted candle to each teacher symbolizing the attributes of knowledge that dispels darkness. Children moved to their new classrooms enthusiastically carrying new hopes and dreams for the academic session 2024-25.
