GGI organised Entrepreneurship Awareness workshop for engineering students
Ludhiana, 29 March : Entrepreneurship Awareness Talk organised for the Engineering students at Gulzar Group of Institutions. The Guest speakers at the moment was Pranav Prabhakar, CEO, Third Space Consultants, Ludhiana. Teachers and students from B.Tech-Civil Engg, Mechanical Eng., / Automobile, Automation & Robotics and Electrical & Electronics Engineering participated. The main objective of the workshop was to acquaint students with the life journey of leading entrepreneurs in India, Leadership qualities, skill sets required to succeed and to promote entrepreneurial skills among the students.
Pranav Prabhakar, encouraged students to be innovative. He emphasised the need of continuous self-improvement and self-learning. He also discussed topics like Entrepreneurship as a career choice, Risks and rewards of entrepreneur ,Charms, rewards and competencies of entrepreneurship , Ideas involved in entrepreneurship management and converting ideas into opportunities, Small business management / govt. support for entrepreneurs ,Skills and behaviour required to be a successful entrepreneur were also covered . He further encouraged students to start own small business.
Pranav Prabhakar said when the economy and the job market are strong, an entrepreneur has a safety net that decreases the risks in creating a new venture, a start-up company or organization that conducts business or is created to satisfy a need, and allows for a quick recovery if the venture is not successful.
Gurkirat Singh Executive Director, GGI focussed on how to start a new business. Commencing with need of assessment, preliminary research, and business plan, identifying the recourses, legal framework, financing, marketing and setting future goals etc. He also discussed challenges like mistakes that young and new entrepreneurs often make Action plan, presentation of Action plan and evaluation. He later, urged the candidates to compete and make proper use of their skills to grab the opportunities.
