HOCKEY AND VOLLEYBALL TEAMS OF AGRICULTURE COLLEGE WIN AT PAU SPORTS TOURNAMENT
LUDHIANA, NOVEMBER 1: The Volleyball team of the College of Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), emerged as a winner by defeating the team of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, during the PAU Inter-College Sports Tournament, held in the University from October 22-28. Teams from all the constituent colleges of PAU participated in the tournament which was organised by the Director Students’ Welfare. Dr JS Kang, President Sports Committee, College of Agriculture, presided over the event. A student, namely Mr Anmol was the top scorer in the volleyball match.
In the Hockey League also, the hockey team of the College of Agriculture won by huge margin against the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology. Dr Kang congratulated the winning and the participating teams for giving tough competition to each other and playing with a spirit of sportsmanship.The faculty and students of PAU participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm and cheered both the teams. The efforts of the organizers were lauded.
