Mehak Rana of Ludhiana won the national level speech competition

Ludhiana : 4th National Level Online Speech Competition was organized by Punarjot Eye Bank Ludhiana and Punjab Bhavan Canada. This competition was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Ramesh, Ashok Mehra, Subhash Malik and Sukhi Bath. Ashok Mehra, the main coordinator of this competition, around 14 to 18-year-old students presented their ideas about the life of Helen Keller, the great writer of the 20th century, who could neither hear nor see.


More than 140 students of this age group made a two-minute video of an informative speech on this topic and sent it online. The students presented interesting facts about the life of Helen Keller with great diligence and hard work and described them beautifully in their speeches. To make this competition successful and to encourage the winners, prize money was given by Dr. Ramesh Superspeciality Eye and Laser Center Ludhiana and Punjab Bhavan Canada. Mehak Rana of Ludhiana bagged the first prize of 10000 rupees. In the second prize B. C. M. Shreya of Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana won Rs.5000. The third prize of Rs.3000 went to Namrata Bansal of Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara.


Dr. Ramesh and Ashok Mehra congratulated all the winning students and their families. Ashok Mehra and Dr. Ramesh thanked the students, teachers, parents and program management team for the success of this competition. On this occasion, Dr. Akarshan Mehta, insured that in the future, many such competitions will be conducted by to showcase the talent of students and educated the society about health awareness.


Dr. Pravesh Mehta, Miss Muskan Mehra, (youth coordinator of this competition) Mrs. Kamal Mehra, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Rachhpal Singh and all the staff were also present on this occasion.
