Vet Varsity Campus Interview Yields Outstanding Student Selections
Ludhiana 30 June 2023 : In a remarkable display of talent and potential, the recent campus interview held at College of Dairy Science and Technology (CODST), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana has resulted in the selection of an exceptional group of students for various prestigious positions in Milkfed. Dr. R.S. Sethi, Dean, CODST shared that 22 final year students of CODST got selected for the post of Assistant Manager in Procurement, Production and Quality Assurance during the on campus interview conducted by a team of officials led by Managing Director, Milkfed.
Dr Sethi said that the students' outstanding academic records, extracurricular achievements, and strong interpersonal skills played pivotal roles in their selection demonstrating the university's commitment to providing a well-rounded education. With this exciting news, the CODST community rejoices in the success of these exceptional students and celebrates their bright futures. It also serves as a reminder to all current and future students that dedication, hard work, and perseverance truly pay off.
Dr. P. K. Singh, Incharge, University Placement Cell informed that selected students will be posted in different milk plants of Verka and 15 more students are in waitlist and will be posted as per the availability of vacancies. Dr. L.D. Singla, Director of Human Resource Development Centre stated that the ‘University Placement Cell’ makes efforts for the job placement of students as well as conducts various special sessions for the career counselling of graduating students to identify better professional opportunities.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Veterinary University congratulated the selected students and appreciated the faculty of the college for fostering an environment that nurtures talent and excellence. Dr Singh shared that this outcome of the campus interview served as a testament to the university's emphasis on practical skills, experiential learning, and industry exposure to produce well-prepared graduates.
