National Cancer Survivor Day Celebrated at Mohandai Oswal Hospital
Ludhiana, June 3, 2023 - National Cancer Survivor Day, an annual event dedicated to honoring and supporting cancer survivors, is celebrated on June 4, 2023. The event aims to raise awareness about cancer survivorship, recognize the courage and strength of survivors, and promote the importance of early detection and treatment. Cancer survivors from different area of panjab and vicinity a participated and share their story while fighting cancer. On this occasion Dr Hitinder Kaur-Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana was invited as chief guest. Dr Hitinder Kaur admired the perseverance and optimistic attitude of all the cancer survivors present for the event. She also appreciated the efforts made by Mohandai Oswal Hospital, Ludhiana for organizing such motivational event.
The Cancer Specialists of Mohandai Oswal Hospital informed that various types of cancers occur but the most common cancers that affect people of India are lung, breast, cervical, neck, brain, colorectal and blood cancers. India has witnessed a steady rise in the incidence of cancer in recent years. Factors such as changing lifestyles, increased life expectancy, and improved diagnostic capabilities have contributed to this alarming trend. We can save millions of lives by, early detection and timely treatment of cancer.
